Mobile app development

Good apps start with who will use them and why they return. We take one app from idea through design, build, testing and store release, then improve it from real use.

Who this service is for

A good fit if

  • You have a specific app in mind for customers, members, patients or staff.
  • You want a focused first release, then improvements from real use.
  • It must connect to bookings, customer accounts, loyalty or ERP data.
  • It should be published under your own developer accounts and brand.

What is included

  • Discovery sprint: users, goals, core journeys, first-release scope
  • User-tested prototype; branded design to Apple and Google guidelines
  • iOS and Android app, native or cross-platform, chosen with you
  • Backend and API, or integration with your existing systems
  • Push notifications, crash reporting and consent-aware analytics
  • Store listings, privacy disclosures, release notes, documentation and handover

What this service is

One customised app, from idea to the App Store and Google Play, for your brand and goals, with UI and UX design in every project. It is localised for the languages and regional settings your audience needs and built to cope with slow or interrupted mobile connections. We pick tools to suit the app, not a favourite. Customer apps

Accounts, bookings, ordering, payments and loyalty programmes (our guide).

Member and community

Associations, clubs, events and learning.

Health and wellness

Health data is sensitive under the NDPA; clinicians owe confidentiality under the National Health Act 2014.

Marketplaces

Customers matched with providers, with scheduling and payments.

Staff and field

Inspections, deliveries, maintenance and reporting, linked to your ERP.

Companion apps

Device control or order tracking for your product.

Store release and after launch

Store guidelines and privacy rules change often. We prepare listings, screenshots, review notes and privacy details from what the app actually collects, and build what stores expect, such as in-app deletion of accounts users created. The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) shapes collection and consent (general information, not legal advice).

An app is never finished: we watch crash reports and analytics, fix issues and plan each release with you, estimated in naira (or US dollars where a licence or service is priced in dollars), so your team can focus on its service. Managed-service clients can add the backend to 24/7 monitoring and support, with response targets set in the service agreement.

Delivery

How the work is delivered

The biggest risk is features nobody uses, so we start small and grow with evidence.

  1. Discovery sprint

Users, problem, core journeys and what a successful first release looks like.

Output: Product brief and release scope.

  2. Prototype and design

Clickable prototype tested with real users; findings change the design.

    Output: Tested prototype, approved designs.

  3. Build

App and backend in short iterations, with test builds on real devices.

    Output: Feature-complete test builds.

  4. Test and beta

Functional, device, accessibility and security tests, then a TestFlight and Google Play beta.

    Output: Beta feedback, release candidate.

  5. Launch and improve

Listings, store review and launch, then improvements prioritised by analytics and feedback.

    Output: Live app, improvement backlog.

Scope at a glance

Not included unless agreed

  • Apple and Google developer fees, which you pay directly
  • Marketing and paid acquisition; app content or store copy unless scoped
  • Legal review of terms of use and privacy policies

What we need from you

  • A product owner who decides and approves releases
  • Developer accounts in your organisation's name, plus system and API access
  • Testers like your users, brand assets, content, sector approvals

Before handover

  • Every build tested on a range of real devices and OS versions
  • Accessibility checked with VoiceOver, TalkBack and larger text
  • Signing keys, store accounts, source code and build instructions in your name

What affects the cost

  • Number and complexity of first-release features
  • iOS, Android or both; native or cross-platform
  • New backend; payment, booking, loyalty or ERP links
  • Offline use, languages and accessibility needs

No package prices: estimates in naira from an agreed scope, taxes shown separately.

Questions buyers usually ask

How long does it take to build an app?

It depends on scope, integrations and decision speed. After discovery you get a written plan and estimates in naira (or US dollars where a licence or service is priced in dollars); we never promise a launch date before the scope is known.

iOS or Android, native or cross-platform?

Both are in use in Nigeria, so most customer apps launch on both; staff apps target the devices you issue. We choose native (iOS in Swift, Android in Kotlin) or one Flutter or React Native codebase by features, budget, platform behaviour and who maintains it.

How does app store review work?

Apple and Google review each app, may ask for changes, and timing varies. We plan a buffer and prepare listings, privacy disclosures and test accounts early.

How will we know it is working, and what happens after launch?

We agree measures in discovery, such as bookings or weekly active users, tracked with consent. Updates then follow OS versions, store rules and feedback: yours with our documentation, or ours under a support agreement.

Have an app idea to take to launch?

Tell us who it is for, what it should do and which systems it connects to. We arrange a discovery conversation before any pricing.
