Microsoft 365 security baseline
The Microsoft 365 settings most small and mid-sized organisations need, from Microsoft's guidance, with a checklist.
Microsoft 365 gives your people a familiar Office environment with broad compatibility, from anywhere. We plan, migrate, secure and manage it, so the tools are configured properly, not just switched on.
One subscription covers email, documents, meetings, files and devices, but defaults rarely suit everyone and useful features stay off. We deliver it as a project or within managed IT services.
Email, calendars, contacts with anti-spam and anti-malware; moved from Exchange, hosted email or elsewhere.
Libraries and intranet sites, permissions designed around how teams share.
Chat, meetings, team files, personal storage, sensible sharing rules.
Phishing, malicious links and harmful attachments blocked; see email security.
Laptops ship straight to remote staff and set themselves up; identity and conditional access.
Most compromises start with stolen passwords or phishing, so before data moves: MFA for everyone, limited admin accounts, external sharing controls, email protection and suspicious sign-in alerts (our baseline).
Moves touch everyone, including tenant-to-tenant moves after a merger or rebrand.
Data location is verified, never assumed, and explained against the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and any sector rules in technical terms (not legal advice).
Microsoft 365 Copilot works within your tenant's permissions, so a well-run tenant comes first. Our Copilot service fixes oversharing, applies sensitivity labels and data protection, then trains users and measures adoption.
After go-live, our IT help desk handles sign-in, sharing, Teams and mailbox issues; we review licences and security as Microsoft changes features and defaults.
Current tenant or email system, licences, data volumes and security settings; target setup agreed.
Output: Tenant review and migration plan.
MFA, admin roles, sharing rules and threat protection, configured before any data moves.
Output: Security baseline report.
Mailboxes, calendars, contacts and files move in batches; users know what to expect and when.
Output: Migrated data, migration report.
Devices enrolled, apps deployed, staff guided on Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
Output: User guides, short adoption review.
No package prices: estimates in naira from an agreed scope, taxes shown separately.
It depends on the service, when the tenant was created and its billing country; we never assume any is held in Nigeria. We check in the Microsoft 365 admin centre and explain what it means under the NDPA, including transfers outside Nigeria.
Microsoft keeps the service running, but retention settings and recycle bins are not an independent backup; deletion, ransomware or a departing employee can still lose data. We usually recommend a separate backup through our backup and disaster recovery service.
Yes. Apps and web interfaces support many display languages, and users choose theirs. We configure language and regional settings, including date, time and currency formats, to suit your teams.
A Cloud PC: a full Windows desktop in Microsoft's cloud, reachable from almost any device. It suits contractors, seasonal staff and people working from many locations. It is licensed per user, so we compare the cost with physical devices first.
