Managed IT & Support

Co-managed IT for internal IT teams

A service team behind your in-house IT staff. We take the back-end work (patching, monitoring, repetitive tasks, one-off requests and projects); your team keeps everything else and the relationship with users.

Who this service is for

A good fit if

  • Routine maintenance eats your IT staff's time, and projects wait.
  • Your IT lead needs cover for evenings, weekends, holidays or leave.
  • You want RMM, patching and ticketing without buying and running them.
  • You want more capacity while keeping internal knowledge and control.

What is included

  • Responsibility matrix: your tasks, ours and shared ones
  • 24/7 monitoring, with alerts routed to whoever owns the issue
  • Tested, scheduled patching of operating systems and supported apps
  • Starters, leavers, licences, mailboxes and other routine requests
  • One-off services and projects, such as migrations, scoped with you
  • Escalation to our wider team, shared tools and vCIO reviews

What this service is

One of our two managed service models, with 24/7 monitoring for managed-service clients: we extend your IT team so your staff can focus on the systems and people they know best. It suits organisations that already have IT staff; in fully managed IT we monitor, manage, support and secure everything for a fixed, predictable monthly fee. Need someone inside your team for a set period? See IT staff augmentation.

More detail on what we take on
  • Patching is scheduled around work, so a missed update does not become a security incident.
  • Monitoring covers agreed servers, network equipment and endpoints.
  • One-off services bring skills your team rarely uses, such as firewall changes or a cloud configuration review.
  • Special projects include upgrades, migrations and rollouts, delivered alongside your team.
  • Escalation brings in our wider service team when a problem is outside your team's usual experience.

How the two teams work together

Clear boundaries matter more than tools. The responsibility matrix sets who owns each area, priorities and the systems your team keeps, how tickets move, who approves changes and what happens out of hours. Both teams share ticketing, remote management and documentation, so both see the same information.

P1 to P4 priorities

As in fully managed IT, with response targets in the agreement.

A vCIO

Budgets, planning and reviews of workload, open issues and roadmap.

Vendor assistance

Technical help when a supplier needs chasing.

Security where the teams meet. The matrix names who reviews security alerts, approves firewall changes, manages admin accounts and leads incident response. If you handle personal data, clear ownership also helps you meet your security and breach-notification obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). We explain the technical side; this is not legal advice.
Delivery

How the work is delivered

  1. Understand your team

We learn what your staff do, where time goes and what they want to hand off.

    Output: Current workload summary.

  2. Map responsibilities

We agree who owns each area, how tickets move and who approves changes.

Output: Responsibility matrix and escalation paths.

  3. Onboard tools and access

We deploy agents, set up shared ticketing and document the environment.

Output: Working tools and shared documentation.

  4. Operate and review

Both teams work to the split; we review workload and priorities regularly.

Output: Reports and an updated matrix.

Questions buyers usually ask

Will you replace our IT staff?

No, we support them. Most teams use it to free time for projects and improvements that routine work was crowding out.

Whose tools do we use?

Agreed at onboarding. Some teams adopt our RMM, patching and ticketing tools; others keep theirs and give us access. Either way, one agreed record holds tickets and changes.

Can you cover our IT person when they are on holiday?

Yes, it is a common reason to co-manage. We already know your environment, so cover starts without a long handover.

Is your IT team stretched?

Tell us about your team, what takes their time and what you want to hand off. We will reply to arrange a conversation.
