Software & Cloud Development

Web application development

A web application does work, not just display content: it signs users in, applies rules, stores data and talks to other systems. Ours are secure by default, scale with demand and stay maintainable by others.

Who this service is for

A good fit if

  • Customers, partners or staff must transact, submit requests or manage records online.
  • You are building a SaaS product for many client organisations.
  • A desktop or legacy application must move to the browser.
  • You need dashboards across systems, large data volumes or many simultaneous users.

What is included

  • Discovery summary, user roles, first-release features, clickable prototypes
  • Architecture: front end, APIs, data, hosting, identity, integrations
  • Iterative build, documented API, documentation and runbook
  • SSO (OpenID Connect or SAML), MFA and role-based permissions
  • Audit logs, error monitoring, performance dashboards, infrastructure as code, CI/CD
  • OWASP ASVS-based security testing and load testing for peaks

What this service is

Unlike a content website, a web application holds business rules and data, so it must stay secure and available while people rely on it. We deliver as a full team or alongside your developers, connected to Prometheus ERP, a CRM or Microsoft 365 rather than adding another place to type data.

Portals

Accounts, orders, bookings, applications, documents and payments.

Workflow tools

Approvals, scheduling, inspections, case and claims management.

Dashboards

Data from several systems in one view, with exports to finance and reporting tools.

SaaS products

Multi-tenant, with subscription management and administration consoles.

Legacy replacements

Desktop apps moved to the browser, business rules intact. See custom software.

Real-time features

Status boards, notifications, messaging, co-editing. See real-time platforms.

Mobile screens, slow connections and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility are planned from the first release.

Built for scale and security

From a small team to thousands of users around the clock, usually on AWS in a region chosen with your data protection obligations in mind:

  • Stateless services that scale out
  • Caching and CDNs
  • Queues for background work
  • Databases designed for real queries
  • Observability before users notice
  • Infrastructure as code
Security and privacy by design. Least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, validated inputs, security logging and OWASP testing. The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and any sector rules shape what is collected and how long it is kept. Not legal advice.
Technology we use

React, Next.js, Angular or Vue with TypeScript; Node.js, Python (Django, FastAPI), .NET or Java (Spring); PostgreSQL, Redis and message queues; containers or serverless, with WebSockets or managed real-time services where needed, and CI/CD pipelines for testing and releases. We choose a stack your organisation can support long term, not the newest option.

Single-page or server-rendered? Server rendering is often faster to first view and easier for search engines; single-page apps suit highly interactive tools. Many frameworks combine both, and we choose per application.

The result: faster work, room to grow, phased estimates in naira (or US dollars where a licence or service is priced in dollars) and protected data. Managed-service clients can add applications to 24/7 monitoring and support, with response targets set in the service agreement. Pair with UI and UX design from the start.

Delivery

How the work is delivered

  1. Discover and design

Understand users, tasks and rules; prototype key flows and test them with real users first.

    Output: Summary and tested prototypes.

  2. Architect

Choose front end, services, data and hosting; plan identity, integrations, security and scaling.

    Output: Architecture document and backlog.

  3. Build in iterations

Iterations demonstrated in a shared test environment; the pipeline deploys every change identically.

    Output: Working increments and pipeline.

  4. Harden and test

Security, load, accessibility and failure testing; findings fixed or formally accepted before release.

Output: Test evidence, headroom, release approval.

  5. Release and operate

Planned release, alerts explained in the runbook, then handover or ongoing support.

    Output: Production release and runbook.

Scope at a glance

Not included unless agreed

  • Licences, hosting and third-party services, billed on approval
  • Independent penetration testing: coordinated with your tester, billed separately
  • Content writing, translation, and post-handover support unless agreed

What we need from you

  • A product owner who prioritises features and accepts releases
  • Access to your identity provider and connected systems
  • De-identified test data; hosting region chosen with privacy advisers

Before handover

  • Every role's permissions tested, including attempts to reach forbidden data
  • Findings fixed, or accepted in writing with reason and review date
  • Load tested at peak; named alert owners; rebuildable from infrastructure code

What affects the cost

  • User roles, workflows and business rules
  • Integrations: ERP, CRM, payment, identity
  • Multi-tenancy, scale, availability and peak loads
  • Audit, privacy, compliance; real-time features

No package prices: estimates in naira from an agreed scope, taxes shown separately.

Questions buyers usually ask

Can the application work on phones or offline?

Every application we build is responsive. A progressive web app installs on phones and caches data for limited offline use; for full offline work or deep device features, we will say if a mobile app suits better.

How do you build SaaS for many client organisations?

Tenant isolation goes into the data model, permissions and hosting from the start, with shared or separate databases chosen for your security and cost needs. Retrofitting it later is expensive.

Where is our data hosted?

Nigeria has no major public cloud region, so we choose a local data centre (for example in Lagos or Abuja) or a region abroad, such as AWS Cape Town or Europe, under NDPA transfer and sector rules. Backups, support access and third-party services also affect residency, so we document where each type of data lives.
