Software & Cloud Development

Software development

We design, build and support business applications, portals, mobile apps and their cloud services, as your delivery team or alongside your IT, planning security, integration and support from the first conversation.

Who this service is for

A good fit if

  • Packaged products cannot support a core process without heavy workarounds.
  • Your stretched IT team needs a delivery team for a project or ongoing product.
  • The software must connect to Microsoft 365, an ERP, a CRM or other systems.
  • Security, privacy and accessibility are requirements, and you want to own the code.

What is included

  • Discovery summary, prioritised first release and architecture outline
  • Working software in short iterations, demonstrated each time
  • Integration with your agreed systems through supported APIs
  • Automated tests, peer review and a repeatable deployment pipeline
  • Dependency scanning, OWASP review and WCAG 2.2 AA checks
  • Documentation, runbook and admin training; code and accounts handed over

What this service is

We cover an application's whole life: problem, design, build, testing, secure deployment and support. As a managed IT, cybersecurity and ERP provider, we design from the start (not at go-live) for your sign-in, security policies and ERP or CRM data, and for support by whoever runs your IT.

What we build

Business applications

Approvals, scheduling, inspections, asset tracking. See custom software.

Web platforms

Portals, dashboards, self-service. See web development and web apps.

Mobile apps

iOS and Android, native or cross-platform. See mobile development.

Online stores

B2B ordering tied to inventory and accounting. See eCommerce.

ERP extensions

Apps inside Prometheus ERP or ERPNext, often faster and cheaper to run.

Cloud and pipelines

Usually AWS, region chosen for your data protection duties: none in Nigeria, so South Africa, Europe or local hosting. See AWS cloud engineering.

Technologies we use

Chosen for maintainability and fit, not novelty; we adopt new tools when they solve a real problem for you.

  • TypeScript and JavaScript
  • React and Node.js
  • Python, .NET, Java
  • Swift and Kotlin
  • Flutter, React Native
  • PostgreSQL
  • Containers and serverless
  • AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Sign-in runs through Microsoft Entra ID, Google or another OpenID Connect or SAML provider, so staff use the accounts they already have. We tailor solutions to sector rules and workflows in healthcare, finance and manufacturing.

What you gain

  • Focus on your core business
  • Fewer manual steps and workarounds
  • Scales with users, data and locations
  • One phase or a long-term product team
Predictable and protected. Phased estimates in naira (or US dollars where a licence or service is priced in dollars), approved one release at a time, with no fixed date or price before we understand the scope, and monthly support under a written agreement instead of surprise invoices. Security and privacy are requirements from discovery, with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and your sector rules in mind (general information, not legal advice; we work with your advisers).

Live software needs security updates, operating system and browser changes, new features and incident care; see managed IT and the help desk. Unsure what to build? Start with IT consulting; network services cover the infrastructure underneath.

Delivery

How the work is delivered

One path at any size; smaller projects combine stages.

  1. Discovery

A call when it suits you, then discovery of the problem, users, systems and constraints.

Output: Discovery summary, proposal, naira estimates.

  2. Design and architecture

Journeys, wireframes and architecture (hosting, data, sign-in, security) agreed while changes are cheap.

    Output: Approved designs and architecture.

  3. Iterative build

Short iterations with demonstrations; see features early and reprioritise between them.

Output: Working increments in a test environment.

  4. Test and release

Functional, integration, security, accessibility and performance tests; planned release with rollback.

Output: Test evidence and production release.

  5. Handover and support

Documentation, training, and transfer of code and accounts.

Output: Handover pack, optional support agreement.

Scope at a glance

Not included unless agreed

  • Licences, hosting, app store and API fees, billed on approval
  • Hardware, devices, and support after handover unless separately agreed
  • Legal, tax or regulatory advice; we implement what advisers confirm

What we need from you

  • A product owner who makes decisions and approves releases
  • Access to connected systems, ideally test or sandbox environments
  • Users for sessions and testing; documents, data samples, brand assets

Before handover

  • Automated tests and peer review on every release, with tested rollback
  • Scan findings fixed or justified; keyboard and screen reader tested
  • Code, infrastructure definitions, runbook, and credentials in your own vault

What affects the cost

  • User roles, screens and business rules
  • Number and quality of integrations; data migration
  • Security, privacy, audit and accessibility needs
  • Platforms, devices and support after launch

No package prices: estimates in naira from an agreed scope, taxes shown separately.

Questions buyers usually ask

Should we build or buy?

Buy when a product fits with reasonable configuration, since someone else maintains it. Build when the process sets you apart or products force costly workarounds. Often it is a product plus integrations or a small custom layer, decided in discovery.

Who owns the code?

You do. The written agreement assigns ownership, and repositories, cloud and app store accounts are in your organisation's name. Open-source components keep their own licences, which we list.

Can you work with our own team?

Yes: a whole project, developers added to your team, or a defined part such as the mobile app or integrations, following your standards and tools.

What happens after launch?

Take over with our documentation, or keep us on a support agreement for fixes, updates and enhancements. Managed-service clients can include applications in 24/7 monitoring and support, with response targets set in the service agreement.

Have software you need built or fixed?

Tell us what it must do, who uses it and what it connects to. We will arrange a discovery conversation before anything is priced.
