Managed IT & Support

IT staff augmentation

Need more IT capacity, not a new provider? We place IT professionals with your team for a set period or project, working to your priorities and processes, backed by Promatics for continuity.

Who this service is for

A good fit if

  • A Microsoft 365 migration, device refresh, office move or seasonal peak needs extra hands.
  • Someone is on leave (parental, sick or holiday) and the work cannot wait.
  • You lack a skill, like networking or cloud administration, for defined work.
  • A permanent hire is too slow or unjustified, and your IT lead keeps direction.

What is included

  • Written role description: skills, duties, hours, reporting line, duration
  • Matched help desk, network, field or project professionals
  • Onboarding: access, tools, security policies and introductions
  • Regular check-ins with your lead on progress, fit, workload
  • Wider-team backing for escalations; absence cover where agreed
  • Documentation of the work, handed over at the end

What this service is

Why hire for every gap? Draw on professionals with different skills, without a long recruitment process, and scale back when the work is done. For organisations of any size, shaped to your budget.

What Promatics handles

You direct the work; we handle the engagement. Scheduling, time records, invoicing and support, cover where the agreement provides, and a replacement if you flag a poor fit early. Our wider team takes escalations, so specialist questions do not stall your project.

Professionals follow your privacy practices and your obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). Teams across several sites or shifts? Tell us at the start, so working patterns go into the role description.

    Output: Progress notes and adjustments.

Questions buyers usually ask

How is this different from co-managed IT?

Augmentation adds a professional to your team, under your direction, for a set period. With co-managed IT, we take ongoing responsibility for agreed areas, such as patching and monitoring, with our own tools, which often suits routine work better. Some use both.

Who directs the work?

You do. Your IT lead sets priorities and reviews the work day to day. We manage the engagement, back the professional on escalations and cover absences as the agreement provides.

Can the work be done on site?

Yes. Remote, on site or a mix, depending on the role, with on-site work arranged in the agreement.
